Company Director - CEO

Gudmundur Einarsson

Gudmundur joined HDD in 2012 as the Company’s CEO. Gudmundur has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry.
He is currently Chairman of actidata GmbH, company in the enterprise data storage space, and Chairman of Hospital Organizer AS.
From 2007 to 2008, he was the Chairman of Tandberg Data ASA and from 2000 to 2007 he held the position as CEO of Tandberg Data, where he drove the company’s success through strong product development, successful OEM agreements, and strategic acquisitions, such as the acquisition of Exabyte in 2006. Prior to Tandberg, Gudmundur was VP at Elkem, where he led the Silicon Division since he joined the company in 1995. Einarsson also held positions at EB Informasjonssystemer (later EB Ericsson), at TBK as Production Director and later as Divisional Director, Oslo, and from 1991 to 1995 as CEO of Hydro Aluminium Fundo AS. Gudmundur holds an MSc in Engineering from the Technical University (Tekniska Høgskolan) in Sweden.

Technical Director - CTO

Atle Haga

Atle Haga joined HDD in May 2011. He also held the position as CTO in HDD from 2003 to February 2006 and took part in the initial phase of the FIPS and Common Criteria certification. He has a background in ASIC design and have worked for Nordic Semiconductor, Alcatel Telecom Norway, Sun Microsystems and Micron Imaging Europe.

In 2006 he became a co-founder and CTO of Digitas AS, a consulting company specializing in ASIC/FPGA verification and design methodology. Digitas AS was aquired by Data Respons Norway and has held the position as R&D Manager for the Asker department since 2010.
During his work in Alcatel he developed a handfull of crypto ASICs implementing algorithms for NATO, Norwegian Defence and Alcatel.

He holds an MSc Degree in Micro Electronics from NTH, Trondheim (NTNU) and has completed the first half of the Master of Technology Management program from NTNU/NHH.

Sales Director - CSO

Hans-Willy Flisnes

Hans Willy Flisnes joined High Density Devices in May 2010. He has more than 25 years experience in engineering, marketing, business  development and sales – internationally, in a multi-cultural business environment. He began his career as a sales support engineer for Nera AS, and later held various positions e.g. Sales and Marketing Director within the group. In 2004, Flisnes joined AnCom AS, a maker of patented ferrite antennas, as CEO. In 2007, Flisnes joined NextGenTel AS where he held the position as Sales Director, B2B.  In 2011, he took the position as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and has the responsibility for global sales and distribution of High Density Devices AS’ Technology and Product Portfolio.He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Process- and Production Control, and a Master of  Management degree in Strategy and Change Management from BI Executive School.

Marketing Director - CMO

Tormod Fjellgård

Coming from Leicester University, UK, with an MSc in Marketing, Tormod started at HDD in 2003, as Project Leader in charge of the certification and evaluation processes. Since then, he has worked with overall marketing,  product  management, certifications and general management activities. He currently holds the position as Marketing Director (CMO) at HDD.
